About My Clients
I work with those who are experiencing distress from their relationships, those who desire healing after traumatic experiences and those looking to strengthen their relationships with themselves. I believe that humans are beautifully complex social beings and therefore, welcome social factors, such as race, class, culture, sexuality, gender, and the examination of the power struggles into the therapy room as the personal is political.
My Background and Approach
You can find me at the intersection of meet you where you're at x challenging you to grow. It is a privilege for myself and others to get to know you, but a priceless gift for you to know yourself. Through self exploration and introspection, we can connect with that gift. I work with those who are experiencing distress from their relationships, who desire healing after traumatic experiences and those who are looking to strengthen the relationship with themselves. For me, therapeutic sessions are moments for collaboration and co-creation. I'm not a blank slate therapist, I am full of genuine emotions that will laugh, scream, and cry with you. Real change is created by real humans. You are not only safe to be your authentic self, you're celebrated. I am trained and utilize EMDR to alleviate the emotional distress following disturbing life events. I also use other theoretical approaches including Gestalt, Attachment, Feminist, and Internal Family Systems.
