About My Clients
I work best with individuals feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, or life transitions. Whether you’re navigating stress, substance use, or relationship challenges, I provide a warm, supportive space to help you gain clarity, build confidence, and move forward.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Illinois with experience in mental health and substance use treatment. I understand how anxiety, stress, and unhealthy coping patterns can make life feel overwhelming. My approach is warm, interactive, and nonjudgmental—I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe to explore challenges without fear of judgment. Together, we’ll develop strategies that fit your life, helping you build confidence, resilience, and self-understanding. I tailor therapy to each person, integrating elements of DBT to strengthen emotional regulation and Gestalt techniques to increase awareness and connection. Whether you need support navigating a life transition, breaking free from negative patterns, or simply a space to process your emotions, I’m here to help. You don’t have to do this alone—let’s work together to create meaningful change
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a gay man and mental health professional, I believe in creating an inclusive, affirming space where all identities are valued and respected. I am passionate about advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, disability awareness, and social justice in mental health care. I understand firsthand how identity, health challenges, and systemic barriers can impact well-being, and I strive to help clients navigate these complexities with compassion and empowerment. I support harm reduction approaches in substance use treatment and believe in meeting people where they are without judgment. I also value the power of community, connection, and personal agency in healing. In my work, I emphasize self-acceptance, resilience, and authenticity. Everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and supported. If you’re looking for a therapist who understands diverse experiences and meets you with warmth and understanding, I’d love to work with you.
