About My Clients
My clients are interested in deepening their understanding of how past experiences and relationships have influenced their present in order to identify and shift patterns that are no longer beneficial to them. My clients seek to strengthen their sense of self as they explore their inner world.
My Background and Approach
I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #135262) working under the supervision of Gaea Woods (LMFT #117978). I hold an MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I received training in psychodynamic therapy from the Maple Counseling Center, where I worked with a diverse population coping with a wide variety of clinical issues. I believe in therapy that is collaborative and relational. Through exploring the challenges you are facing, relational dynamics, and the nuanced language of your personal narrative, we will begin to identify unconscious methods of coping that may no longer be serving you. It is not until we recognize these deep parts of ourselves that we can begin to tend to them and shift them. While creating a therapeutic environment that feels safe and nonjudgmental, I hope to aid you in exploring your internal material.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I aim to provide care that is culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+ affirmative. In order to best support you, my approach to therapy is holistic and integrative and I draw from a variety of modalities, including psychodynamic, narrative, cognitive behavioral, attachment-based, and Jungian analytic psychology. It is with openness, curiosity, and a sense of humor that I hope to empower my clients to live as a more authentic version of themselves.
