About My Clients
I love to work with people to help them work with their challenges to reach their goals. I work with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and other challenges that they want to work through. I have experience working with the following special populations: first responders, military and veterans, healthcare workers, adolescents, children, and young adults.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work and a Bachelors in Psychology. I was enlisted in the Army National Guard for almost 5 years and am now a Behavioral Health Officer in the Utah Amy National Guard. I volunteer on Mount Timpanogos as a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician. I also am an instructor in CPR, First Aid, and Wilderness First Aid. I work with a strengths based perspective wanting to help you reach your goals to live your best life. I am trained in and use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Gottman Couples Therapy. I also use concepts from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).
