About My Clients
Are you, or do you suspect you are, neurodivergent? Have you been diagnosed with everything under the sun and worked with countless therapists without much success? Forget social skills training, ABA, and traditional CBT, and reach out. One of the hardest things to do in life is change, especially if you have been made to feel that your mind, body, and lifestyle are inherently wrong. But you don't have to do it alone. I'm here to help. This is your life. You deserve to be happy and fully you.
My Background and Approach
Neurodivergent people often come to therapy because of the painful societal pressure to conform to neurotypical standards. First, we'll focus on helping you feel safe and comfortable in therapy and in life. Then we'll move into interventions to break problematic thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and build assertive communication skills. I also offer somatic & mindfulness interventions for those who tend to 'over-intellectualize' their emotions. You are the most important part of therapy, so I prioritize a strong therapeutic relationship with a focus on trust, gentle humor, and a nonjudgmental attitude. As a neurodivergent affirming therapist, it is my privilege to help Autistic, ADHDer, and other neurodivergent people overcome trauma and live their best lives. Sometimes our minds seem to be working against us and our goals. I'll support you in identifying and making change through identity-affirming, strengths-based, and trauma-aware interventions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a clinical social worker, I prioritize clients and their right to make their own decisions. I am a neurodivergent-affirming and queer-affirming therapist. I take every effort to ensure inclusive access to care for my client's regardless of diagnosis, disability, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or cultural background. No one's civil rights are up for debate. These are strange times, but my clients always come first. No matter what.
