About My Clients
I am so proud of you for taking the first step in living a happier and healthier life. It takes bravery and courage to step out of your comfort zone and acknowledge that life is not going exactly as planned. You may be struggling to manage your emotions, deal with day-to-day stressors, have healthy interpersonal relationships, or cope with a traumatic experience. There is hope for growth and change.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy begins with creating a safe, inclusive, and comfortable space. We then work together to create a treatment plan with personalized goals that are important and meaningful to you. And then for the fun part, we utilize evidence-based techniques to help make your goals a reality. I look forward to starting this journey with you. Alone we are strong, but together we are stronger. I have a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida and have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I have worked in both residential and outpatient mental health settings, with people of all ages, and with a variety of different mental health disorders.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My goal is that you leave our first session feeling comfortable, at ease, and optimistic about your future. I often hear people laugh and say, "That wasn't anywhere near as horrible as I thought it would be." It is important to me that you leave each and every session feeling understood, validated, and hopeful. You can expect to make progress towards your personal goals, learn more about yourself, healthy ways of coping, and new ways of thinking.
