About My Clients
My past and current work experiences has provided me the opportunity to engage and navigate with clients in relationships and marital issues, family conflicts, work stressors, self-worth and self-care through different cultural, religious, and family backgrounds. Working with victims of trauma and mental challenges (anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and much more) have further informed the need for systemic interventions for client’s growth, which I offer.
My Background and Approach
I am a systemic therapist and have been working in the mental health field for several years. As a therapist, have worked with adolescents, individuals, couples, families, young and mid-aged adults of all different backgrounds. When working with my clients, I love to draw from an array of systemic modalities: mindfulness, structural, narrative, dance, spiritual, cognitive behavioral, and emotionally focused therapies, to help clients become a better version of themselves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I consider myself to be a believer. Though during therapy, I choose in focus on what's infant of me and what my clients seek help for and tend to their needs. Personally, I feel that this has helped me tremendously over the years; however, so has my belief with all of my clients. As a therapist, I have learned to read most clients by their way of communicating and to know when and what is a challenge or doable for them and meet them where they are. In fact, communication can be expressed in many ways, whether it is verbal or non-verbal; through visual arts, body movements, and/or in writing. We will work together to create more expansive and healthier ways of expression. In the words of the famous Carl Jung: “I am not what happened to me. I am who I choose to become.”
