About My Clients
In our work together, we can collaborate to help you build skills to navigate life experiences with greater self compassion and self understanding. A central question to this work is how do we increase your ability to process and move through life's stressors, transitions, and hardships with greater confidence and resilience? I am particularly passionate about supporting young adults and individuals exploring ethical non-monogamy
My Background and Approach
I have six years of experience providing direct service and support to adults, including two years supporting students at the University of Kansas. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in Kansas with additional education in creative writing and training in traumatic brain Injury. My work with clients is rooted in person-centered and strengths-focused care. Through collaboration and open communication, we set goals based on the your needs and desires. Treatment often incorporates mindfulness, emotional awareness, and solution-focused methods.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as a woman, mother, feminist, and social worker. One of my greatest passions is working with 18-24 year olds. These years can be a time of immense growth and excitement, but uncertainty and self doubt can also surface here. I work with young adults to help them move through life’s complexities with a greater belief in themselves and their resilience. I am also passionate about supporting adults as they navigate ethical non-monogamy and polyamory. With a feminist framework in mind, I hope to help create more safe spaces in our community for people to explore nontraditional relationships with curiosity and non-judgement.
