My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and experiential therapy. My approach focuses on helping you understand the internal patterns shaping your thoughts, emotions, and reactions. Instead of trying to override or control them, we begin to make sense of why they’re there and how they’ve been trying to help. As you build a different relationship with these parts of yourself, your responses begin to shift. This often leads to meaningful change not just in how you feel, but in how you relate to others and move through your life. I tailor the work to each client, drawing from different approaches depending on what fits best for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people aren’t broken, even when their patterns feel overwhelming or hard to change. The ways you think, feel, and respond developed for a reason, even if they no longer serve you. I also believe that lasting change comes from understanding yourself, not fighting against yourself. When you begin to relate to your internal experience with more clarity and compassion, things naturally begin to shift. Therapy, to me, is about creating a space where you feel understood, supported, and able to engage with yourself in a different way.
