About My Clients
I work with preteens, teens, and families who feel stuck — caught in repeated conflict, emotional overwhelm, or patterns that haven't responded to other support. Many of my clients are navigating ASD, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, or behavioral challenges that affect home, school, and relationships. Parents often come to me exhausted. Teens come feeling misunderstood. I work with both, because lasting change requires the whole family moving in the same direction.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina with extensive experience in inpatient behavioral health settings, where I worked directly with adolescents navigating complex behavioral, emotional, and neurodevelopmental challenges. That background shapes everything about how I work — I'm not overwhelmed by complexity, and I don't give up when things are hard. I specialize in ASD, ADHD, behavioral challenges, anxiety, trauma, and family conflict. My approach is structured and skills-based, drawing on CBT, trauma-informed care, and behavioral strategies. Sessions have direction and purpose — clients leave with tools they can actually use, not just insight. I actively involve parents in the process because change has to carry outside the therapy room. Consistency at home matters as much as what happens in session. I offer telehealth therapy statewide across South Carolina with most major insurance accepted including Aetna, Cigna, and Carelon.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My faith is a quiet but important part of who I am. It shapes the way I show up for people — with patience, consistency, and a genuine belief that people are capable of change, even when that feels hard to believe about yourself. I don't bring faith into the therapy room unless a client wants to explore it, but it informs the care and commitment I bring to every session. I am also deeply committed to this work beyond the clinical hour. I am actively engaged in developing curriculum and training resources for mental health professionals, and I believe that good therapy is as much about the quality of the clinician as it is the modality. I take my own growth seriously so my clients don't have to pay the price for a stagnant therapist. I believe every person who walks into therapy — or logs on — deserves to be met with structure, honesty, and genuine investment in their progress. That is what I bring.
