About My Clients
I work with individuals from a broad range of lived experiences, identities, and backgrounds. I have the most experience supporting those struggling with depression, anxiety, and relational trauma sometimes referred to as complex-trauma or "C-PTSD." This includes working with BIPOC clients around racial trauma and other identity-work.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker which means I am trained to listen especially for the ways that systems and systemic forces impact mental health and wellbeing. I have postgraduate training in cognitive-behavioral, gestalt, and psychodynamic psychotherapies. I integrate these with my lived experience as a biracial man and the experience of my clients. I tailor my approach to what works best for you based on your experience and goals. I have extensive experience supporting college students, graduate students, and adults navigating life transitions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe relationships are the foundation for healing. This means providing safety and comfort in therapy and helping individuals build and explore safe and meaningful relationships outside therapy as well. I believe that the personal is political, and that we cannot attend to mental suffering without acknowledging the impact of power, privilege, and oppression in our daily lives.
