About My Clients
Are you and your partner stuck in the same fights, feeling more like roommates than lovers? Maybe sex has become a source of stress rather than connection—whether it's desire differences, performance anxiety, or pain that keeps you apart. Or perhaps you're navigating your sexuality or identity and need an affirming space to explore. I understand how isolating these struggles feel. Together, we'll move beyond the patterns keeping you stuck and build the intimacy and connection you're looking for.
My Background and Approach
I'm a certified sex and couples therapist with an MA in trauma and crisis studies, which means I understand how past experiences shape your present relationships and sexuality. My approach is active and collaborative. I use emotionally-focused therapy to help couples understand the attachment needs driving their conflicts and psychodynamic approaches to explore patterns keeping you stuck. As a certified sex therapist, I address erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, low desire, painful sex, and orgasm difficulties with concrete techniques you can use immediately. I'm direct but warm. I'll ask questions that get to the heart of what's happening and gently challenge patterns that aren't serving you. My goal is to help you navigate intimacy, sexuality, and relationships with more confidence and freedom, both in sessions and in your daily life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a gay Jewish therapist, and those identities deeply inform how I show up in the room. I understand navigating identity questions, coming out, family dynamics, and finding authentic connection in a world that doesn't always affirm who you are. I believe meaningful relationships are foundational to living a meaningful life, which is why I'm passionate about helping people build stronger connections. I'm committed to challenging orthodoxies within my field. I believe therapists should work effectively with clients holding diverse viewpoints, and I've spoken about the importance of ideological diversity in training. I want therapy to be a space where all of you is welcome, not just the parts that fit a particular worldview. I've trained with clinicians across different cultures because I believe wisdom about healing exists globally. Outside of work, I love exploring how philosophy, music, and art shape our understanding of connection. Reach out if you'd like to talk.
