My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW 27433) and psychotherapist, trained in Lacanian psychoanalysis and a member of the Lacan School. I work with patients navigating anxiety, depression, identity questions, relational challenges, trauma, and life transitions. In therapy, we trace dreams, recurring relational patterns, and the symbolic structures shaping your experience, using the language of the unconscious to understand desire, blocks, and repeated dynamics. My approach combines extensive psychoanalytic training, years of clinical experience, and a grounding in critical and literary theory and the histories of psychoanalysis. Therapy with me is a space to trace unconscious patterns, examine relational dynamics, and explore your inner life. Patients gain insight, clarity, and the capacity to engage with desire, relationships, and self-understanding in more conscious, flexible ways.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am deeply committed to creating a therapeutic space that honors autonomy, challenges inherited hierarchies, and examines how social, economic, and symbolic structures shape experience. I am especially interested in the ways desire, identity, and relationships are entangled with ideas of ownership, property, and social control, and in helping patients work against these pressures. My approach draws on radical thought to support patients in exploring life beyond restrictive norms, inherited expectations, and the limitations imposed by social structures. Therapy with me is collaborative: we trace unconscious patterns, examine relational dynamics, and reflect on how your experience is shaped by broader forces, fostering the insight and freedom to engage with desire on your own terms.
