About My Clients
For those who have been struggling with understanding yourself and feeling disconnected from who you believe you are and who you would like to be-- what would it look like to feel capable to create fulfilling, lasting change in a direction you seek fit? I work best with patients who are motivated to seek positive growth and change and embrace challenging dialectical conversations to promote these changes.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in psychodynamic psychotherapy and have pursued continued training under psychoanalytic frameworks. I have experience in treating adolescents, adults, and older adults utilizing analytic techniques for understanding recurring, subconscious maladaptive themes. I use an integrated, transdisciplinary approach towards understanding the complexity of recurring challenges a patient might experience. By delineating and specifying the core functions of maladaptive schema, I bring these behaviors and patterns to a patient's attention in hopes for the beginning of real and important change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe it is crucial that I take a careful, culturally competent lens in an effort to remove barriers to treatment and care. With experience in working at domestic violence agencies to researching eating disorder interventions, I have been equipped with the ability to provide collaborative and interdisciplinary care to my patients.
