I have extensive experience and expertise working with children, teens, adults, couples and families. I have provided treatment in an array of settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric services, crisis intervention services and correctional mental health services. I provide a welcoming environment accommodates a variety therapeutic techniques that encourages others to engage that includes anxiety, depression, bipolar, personality issues, adjustment issues, trauma, PTSD, etc
My Background and Approach
I believe that to be an effective therapist, one must create a safe environment that is interactive, collaborative, promotes problem-solving and critical thinking. For the past several years, my practice has been focused on helping people get rid of anxiety, depression, relationship issues substance use and many other difficulties . I have attended trainings that teach leading edge techniques. We'll address what's going on in your brain when you feel anxious and how to get in touch with different parts of your brain to find relief. We'll discuss what happens to your body when fear takes over so you can learn how to quickly calm down. You'll gain resilience so that attacks don't continue in the future.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a high-energy individual, engaging and dedicated to providing a therapeutic environment that is safe and allows others to reach their potential. I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I do not believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way.
