About My Clients
If you're feeling stuck, irritable, frustrated, isolated, and/or saying and doing things you don't want to -- let's talk. I work primarily with millennials and Gen Z'ers experiencing anxiety, depression, and/or ADHD. Many of my clients are early or mid-career professionals navigating work and family demands, relationship stress, and working through challenging family dynamics. I use a variety of evidence-based strategies, and most importantly, we will figure out what works best for you!
My Background and Approach
My approach to counseling is based in relational cultural theory, which states that fulfilling relationships and meaningful connections are the basis of all human growth. Everything that we do together will be rooted in the context of a solid working relationship. There is no cookie cutter approach! We will work together to determine which strategies, supported by research, feel best and work best for you. I will be in your corner -- always. I trained primarily in community mental health and college counseling, so I have probably encountered all clinical concerns at some point. In therapy, I draw primarily from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). We will work together to create meaningful and long-lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe that everyone deserves a positive, meaningful, and ultimately healing therapy experience. I welcome folks of all identities, including but certainly not limited race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability and health status, family structure, religious/spiritual beliefs. Everyone has a home here. I'll share a little more about me here: when not practicing, I work as an assistant professor of psychology at Susquehanna University, which is a small liberal arts school in Pennsylvania. I received my PhD in psychology from Ohio University in 2020 and I completed my pre-licensing internship at Catholic University of America’s Counseling Center in Washington DC. Personally, I grew up in upstate New York, but now reside in central Pennsylvania. In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, watching sports, cooking Italian food, and hanging out with our now toddler son, born summer 2023!
