About My Clients

If you're feeling stuck -- maybe you're down, questioning yourself and the future, burned out, and/or doing things you don't want to do -- let's talk. I work primarily with millenials and Gen Z'ers, and I specialize in issues that are important to this group: anxiety and depression, associated with oh-so-many demands on our time; navigating family and work life; and figuring out our values. I also have specific training working with ADHD, social anxiety, and grief.

My Background and Approach

My approach to counseling is based in relational cultural theory, which states that fulfilling relationships and meaningful connections are the basis of all human growth. Everything that we do together will be rooted in the context of a solid working relationship. There is no cookie cutter approach! We will work together to determine which strategies, supported by research, feel best and work best for you. I will be in your corner -- always. I trained primarily in community mental health and college counseling, so I have probably encountered all clinical concerns at some point. In therapy, I draw primarily from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). We will work together to create meaningful and long-lasting change.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I strongly believe that everyone deserves a positive, meaningful, and ultimately healing therapy experience. I welcome folks of all identities, including but certainly not limited race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability and health status, family structure, religious/spiritual beliefs. Everyone has a home here. I'll share a little more about me here: when not practicing, I work as an assistant professor of psychology at Susquehanna University, which is a small liberal arts school in Pennsylvania. I received my PhD in psychology from Ohio University in 2020 and I completed my pre-licensing internship at Catholic University of America’s Counseling Center in Washington DC. Personally, I grew up in upstate New York, but now reside in central Pennsylvania. In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, watching sports, cooking Italian food, and looking after our baby boy, born July 2023 :)
