About My Clients
My work often focuses on navigating challenges related to ADHD and Autism, difficult family dynamics, complex trauma, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and questions about gender identity and/or sexuality. My practice is LGBTQ affirming, neurodiversity affirming, and sex positive. I work with clients from all walks of life, but have often had clients who are educators, helping professionals, and creatives. We'll work together to explore and celebrate all the things that make you unique.
My Background and Approach
I practice from a relational psychodynamic perspective, which means we’ll explore the ways your past has impacted you, and pay attention to how you feel in each session. I draw from Attachment Theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology, IFS, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed care, humanistic therapy, and AEDP.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm nonbinary, and feel passionate about helping clients to explore their gender identities and navigate the challenges that can come with navigating an often too hostile world. I'm also neurodivergent and strongly believe in approaching diagnoses like ADHD and Autism as differences and not deficiencies. I understand that it can often be difficult to thrive in a neurotypical world, but we'll figure out how you can live the life you want, without having to sacrifice you being who you are.
