About My Clients

I work with individuals who are struggling to find healing, fulfillment, and deep personal connection in the midst of profound success. We are often conditioned to avoid pain, trauma, and loss by seeking out success. This avoidance can lead us into deep patterns of isolation which feeds anxiety, depression, and loneliness. I believe that we must travel through our pain to find healing and escape the feelings of loneliness and emptiness.

My Background and Approach

In my work with couples, I collaborate with the couple to reduce conflict by identifying the deep rooted relational patterns that drive and sustain the conflict. Together, we can increase conflict resolution and communication skills and create a kinder, healthier, and more deeply connected relationship. I also work with parents who are struggling to parent and care for a child with high needs and/or high risk behaviors. I believe parents often feel isolated and hopeless when they have a child whom they feel they are unable to parent effectively. My work with parents is twofold; first, to create a safe space for you to express and process your fears, hopes, and struggles as parent, and second to help you develop specialized skills to deal with your child’s needs.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. For the past three and half years, I have worked as an in-home therapist for families struggling to support a child engaging in high risk behaviors. This work included marital, parental, and individual issues, and I utilized attachment theory, family systems theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and relational psychodynamic therapy. I was raised in New Jersey and have lived in 3 different states (Virginia, Colorado, and California) before arriving in Seattle almost 9 years ago. I love a good pizza or sandwich. I love working with my hands and spend a lot of time building lamps and lighting out of antique and vintage items. This leads me all over our beautiful state to hunt and scavenge antique stores.
