About My Clients
Do you find it difficult to maintain motivation despite understanding the need and importance of change? I understand what that feels like. The constant game of mental ping pong regarding change can be overwhelming and confusing. I want to help you sort through the confusion and develop a clear plan for change based on the goals you identify.
My Background and Approach
The tools that I provide have been honed throughout my career. I have over twenty-five years of experience assisting people with mental health and substance use issues. I apply evidence-based techniques from a person-centered perspective. Through the use of cognitive behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused approaches, my goal is to assist you in developing at least five tools to use to move towards your goals. You will gain confidence and clarity as we walk towards your goals together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the innate value of every human being and their ability to direct their own lives. We all have a purpose, and part of therapy is identifying our individual purpose. I believe in respecting all belief systems and all lifestyles. I have made a point throughout my career of researching and studying cultures that are different from mine, so I can better connect with my clients.
