About My Clients
No experience in art is necessary to benefit from art therapy, you only need the willingness to express yourself and engage in the creative process. I use art therapy in counseling with those who are seeking to process anxiety, stress, trauma and more. As your therapist, I will work with you to ensure that you feel safe and validated while we build the therapeutic relationship and process challenges with art therapy.
My Background and Approach
Art therapy is a powerful mind-body therapeutic process. Using art in therapy stimulates the brain in areas inaccessible by verbal stimulation alone and contributes to new neural connections. Focus is on the therapeutic process of art making, creativity and reflection, as well as personal growth and development. I am here to help you with any challenges you might be facing. If this seems like a good fit for your needs, please reach out and we can discuss more in depth about how art therapy can benefit you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Some of my specialities include: LGBTQIA+ issues, anxiety and trauma. As an active member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I believe that it is important for members of the community to have a safe and affirming place where they can benefit from services and not have to worry about their identity. I hope to provide that space for individuals who need it.
