About My Clients
The world is much scarier right now. Things feel out of control and more unpredictable than usual. This make trigger previous hurts or make current ones even harder to manage. Whether you need to process current events, address previous wounds, or are just looking for a new therapeutic resource, I'm here for you.
My Background and Approach
I am a firm believer that humans are doing the best with what they know at any given time. I'm also very aware that our contexts, both small-scale within our living situations, and large-scale within our society, shape how we feel and what experience. My job is to help you better know yourself so you can live more aligned with your values and your goals while also creating space for the impact your contexts have on you. My therapeutic approach is dynamic and strength-based. I will help you find repetitive dynamics within your life and assist you in making the mental and behavioral changes you want to see. I have my doctorate degree from Regent University, I completed my predoctoral internship at Tulsa University, and I have two years of practice at UTSA and the South Texas Veterans Health Care Systems as a staff psychologist. I have experience treating adults of all ages addressing anxiety, depression, PTSD, adjustment to new environments, and experiences of discrimination.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my therapeutic environment, all individuals have the right and autonomy to determine their journey. My job is to partner with you to achieve your goals. I am warm, strength-based, and affirming in my clinical approach.
