ACT uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies while committing to these techniques. I have also completed 2 years of a residency that focused on ACT in 2008 and attended several workshops.
I have been in trained in several modalities of treatment to help address anxiety symptoms. There are several tools that can help cope with anxiety. It is my belief to have a variety of tools to use as anxiety can show up in a variety of ways.
I have been working with clients who struggle with self harm and suicidal ideation since 2002. Using DBT skills, mindfulness, and other modality approaches, one can find other ways to cope with difficult emotions.
