About My Clients

I work with individuals, couples and adult families who experience trauma, anxiety, depression, identity or life transitions, and relationship struggle. Many of the people I work with are queer, neurodivergent, non-monogamous, disabled or chronically ill. I take a liberatory, community oriented approach to therapy and will work with you to co-create a container that supports your innate capacity for healing, growth and connection.

My Background and Approach

I draw from narrative therapy and humanism in my work. Narrative therapy is all about your stories: the ones you’ve been told, and the ones that are yours to tell. I’ll work with you to understand and reimagine your stories, where they come from, what they mean, and what new stories might be possible. Humanism is about embracing you as a whole, messy person. We’ll explore different parts of you that might be in conflict with each other, might be hurt, or might be unseen. We’ll welcome all of these parts as valid and valuable components of your humanity. I’ll invite you to engage somatically, emotionally and relationally with feelings that come up and I’ll support you through the tender process of being with your authentic self.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that our emotional and relational wellbeing is deeply entwined with our communities and social systems, and I know that most suffering in this world is a product of systemic oppression. My goal as a therapist is to support you as an individual while also building our collective capacity to resist oppression and cultivate liberation for all people. I draw from lineages and theories of abolitionism, disability justice, queer feminism and other resistance movements in this work. I’m genderqueer, non-monogamous, live with chronic illness, and love being outdoors and growing food. In both life and work, I’m guided by values of liberation and collective care.
