Social media. Bullying. Friend issues. Anxiety over health and safety. With an ever-growing list of complex issues to navigate, it’s no wonder young people today are facing a mental health crisis. But even in the darkest of circumstances, we believe there is always a light waiting if we have the tools to find it.

Adjustment issues can occur with any stressful life event. These can include but not limited to the death of a loved one, relationship issues, or being fired from work. While everyone encounters stress, some people have trouble handling certain stressors. My goal is to help you through these stressors feeling more competent to handle whatever comes your way.

The psychodynamic approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that all behavior has a cause. During sessions, therapists help clients gain insights into their lives and present-day issues by evaluating, identifying, and changing negative patterns. This in-depth form of talk therapy is especially effective at treating depression and social anxiety disorder.

Family systems therapy is a form of psychotherapy that works to resolve conflicts within families or address problems that exist within a family unit. Since all members of the family contribute to how a family is functioning, family systems therapy works to nurture change and development so that the entire family unit can function in a healthy way.
