About My Clients
The treatment approach is carefully decided based on the needs of the individual. Questions to ask yourself before working with me: Do I want to work on building my self-esteem? Do I have a desire to be more effective in my relationships? Do I have trouble feeling unpleasant feelings and want to engage in more helpful and effective behaviors? These are some questions that I'll be able to help you explore & find the necessary skills to be authentically you.
My Background and Approach
I am formally trained in dialectical behavioral therapy. I am also a certified clinical trauma professional. I believe in meeting each individual where they are at to help guide and facilitate their life worth living goals. My communication style is kind and direct, some call me the gentle hammer. I will work with my clients in a compassionate and mindful way and challenge them in a gentle manner. You should expect an authentic human being who wants to create a space to feel heard and validated.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an active member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am passionate about creating inclusive and affirming spaces for individuals from all walks of life. I believe in the power of self-expression, and as a dance instructor for adults and teens, I see firsthand how movement can foster healing and personal growth. My past volunteer work at a suicide crisis center and in the behavioral health sectors of hospitals and current experience in psychotherapy has deepened my commitment to supporting those in crisis and advocating for mental health awareness. I am a firm believer in the importance of self-care, and I make it a priority to engage in nature, maintain my own therapy, and consistently practice what I preach. I strive to be an advocate not only for my clients but also for myself, modeling healthy boundaries and ongoing personal development. I am dedicated to creating a space where individuals can feel heard, validated, and empowered to work towards their healing journey.
