About My Clients
My clients often come to EMDR therapy wanting to heal from childhood trauma, adoption, addiction, self-destructive behaviors, abuse, neglect, and dysfunctional family dynamics. Clients that have been in traditional talk therapy and still felt "stuck" or continue to notice symptoms persist will benefit the most from EMDR therapy. While we are not responsible for what happened to us, we are responsible for healing, and I help guide the healing process using EMDR and IFS-informed techniques.
My Background and Approach
I provide telehealth and in-person services for Pennsylvania residents and telehealth services for Florida residents. I use an integrative approach in working with attachment, relational trauma, complex trauma & PTSD. I blend Attachment Theory, Family Systems Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the Adaptive Information Processing model from EMDR to inform my practice. I have worked in all levels of care of co-occurring substance abuse & mental health treatment including inpatient residential & detox, PHP, IOP, and GOP. I obtained my Master of Social Work degree and Bachelor's degree in Sociology from West Chester University. I use a strengths-based, person-centered, and empowerment approach. I am compassionate, calm, curious, and non-judgmental throughout the therapeutic journey. It is an honor to form relationships with clients and be a part of helping them work through what they are struggling with.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people are capable of healing and need the proper guidance and support in order to help them get there. I witness resilience on a daily basis and value the power of human relationships and authentic connection. I want to get to know you and your story. I look beyond the diagnoses and circumstances that lead us to therapy. I am an ally for the LGBTQIA+ community and have volunteered in mutual aid support groups & homeless shelters in the past.
