About My Clients

Do you have anxiety or trauma that leads you to engage in the use of substances more than you would like? Do you wish that you had more productive or better ways to control your emotions and thoughts? Do you beat yourself up about the decisions you make? There are skills and tools that you can learn to change any of these habits. If you want to have more awareness, wisdom, discipline, drive, or insight then let's start the journey of self-discovery together.

My Background and Approach

Joe has a Master of Education in Human Relations, a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist for individuals, and is completing a Doctorate in Professional Counseling. He has also served as a military Airborne Combat Arms Officer and first responder. He has an open, client-centered approach that helps individuals better understand the source of their challenges, develop skills to overcome those challenges, and empower them to be in control of their lives. He helps each and every individual to develop skills, awareness, resilience, and wisdom to better guide themselves through their lives and find a sense of peace.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that most individuals are out of balance and have lost their way to wellness. I think that society has many myths that lead people to lose their determination, drive, and discipline that will allow them to be well. Through the development of a personal philosophy and through learning new skills and tools they can find balance and become their ideal selves.
