About My Clients
We all want a life full of meaning and joy, where we're free to be ourselves and be happy, but a lot of us struggle to have that experience. It often feels like we're barely hanging on, just trying to make it through the day. We find that we just can't seem to feel happy/fulfilled, that we can't seem to connect with our partner or others in a meaningful way, and that we feel alone, anxious, and hopeless. Wherever you're at, we can navigate these hurdles and find peace, hope, and meaning!
My Background and Approach
I've undergone extensive training in trauma, relationships, spirituality, and how to navigate difficult emotions/experiences such as depression, anxiety/panic, and different phobias. Whether it's internal conflict, past experiences/traumas, addictions, relationship struggles/infidelity, or overwhelming emotions that just won't seem to let you relax and enjoy life, we can work together to figure out how to best navigate these difficulties and build the life you want. My approach to counseling is largely informed by the science of attachment theory and up-to-date findings of neuroscience, and utilizes tenets of Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Affect Regulation Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Person-Centered Therapy. Regardless of what specific techniques we end up utilizing in session, my goal is to foster a safe environment that allows you to sort through the conflict inside of you and heal from the external wounds that have compounded throughout your life.
