Joe is passionate about assisting clients in identifying and working towards what is important to them. Joe’s treatment philosophy is informed by his belief that every person is intrinsically valuable with a unique story to tell. He believes that all individuals have the right to be heard by an objective, caring professional who will provide a safe space to grow.
My Background and Approach
Joseph “Joe” Gallagher, LCPC, NCC, CCTP, BC-TMH is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and a CCE Board Certified-Telemental Health Provider. Joe received his Bachelor’s degree with Cum Laude in Addiction Studies from The University of South Dakota and received his Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Virginia. Joe has expertise in providing inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment to a diverse array of individuals of different ages and backgrounds. He is a multiculturally competent therapist who has experience with various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy. His clinical experiences include outpatient mental health counseling, state psychiatric hospital care, and inpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment.

Joe believes in the uniqueness of each individual. Together, you will draw on integrative and holistic therapy approaches to find the best solutions to meet your goals. Joe does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment and collaboratively works with every individual to cater to their unique needs and circumstances. In your sessions, Joe will help you identify and face daily obstacles, grow through challenges, and find the hope necessary to move forward and live a life that is fulfilling and authentic to you. You will also address daily obstacles, unconscious emotional challenges and learn to confront our negative thoughts. Joe is proud to offer HIPAA-compliant telehealth (online) therapy services.
