Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT for short, is one of the main therapeutic modalities used by therapists. This is because it is empirically valid and proven to treat anxiety and depression. Statistics have shown CBT to be the most effective therapy for treating anxiety, depression, and many other conditions.

It is the responsibility of the therapist to tailor a therapy session to the unique needs of the client. I believe in pulling from many successful techniques in an eclectic and integrated approach to therapy. Therapist flexibility is a valuable tool in helping my clients gain a balanced perspective on the life issues they are facing. I view therapy as a collaborative, shared experience and seek to help my clients feel safe, comfortable, and truly understood.

Some clients respond to the logical and rapid approach of Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I have effectively used it with clients that respond well to this speedy approach.

Anxiety is a worldwide problem, where our own defensive biology is sabotaging our bodies and minds. Learning to manage anxiety is a gradual but definite process in therapy, which can restore a proper balance to free our body and mind.

I help clients from mild to severe clinical levels of depression with a multi-pronged approach that is specifically tailored to each client. Making space for each client to progress at their proper pace is key to success.

I have guided countless single parents and couples through the complex, and often counter-intuitive, learning process of parenting. I specialize in simplifying this beautiful transformation.
