About My Clients
I work with individuals 18+ who are looking to move past the trauma in their life. Whether that trauma is PTSD (CPTSD), inner child wounding, or a recent event, I would be honored to be your guide. Some populations and topics that are in my wheelhouse include parenting, healing from childhood abuse, religious deconstruction, later in life neurodivergence dx, LGBTQIA+, divorce, sexual abuse or violence, domestic violence/IPV. I look forward to working with folx who are ready to heal.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in PA. I am also certified in EMDR by EMDRIA, as well as a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. My career has spanned 15+ years in nonprofit/social services working in spaces with marginalized communities and folx experiencing the intersections of oppression in California, Mexico, Japan, and now Pennsylvania. I work at remaining culturally humble. I have chosen to specialize in trauma because I see it as the root of much of our suffering. I focus on whole person healing, and work to see all parts of my clients. My professional and personal life experiences lend themselves to my areas of expertise.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value human rights and hold a progressive worldview. My work has exposed me to many oppressed and marginalized groups that have expanded my humility, empathy, and passion. I support BLM, am sex positive, and I also identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. I very much consider a person's whole experience in discussing their trauma which can include racial, generational, religious, sexual identity, gender, and more.
