We all can struggle with anxiety, sudden loss, or unexpected changes in our lives. Sometimes we need support, understanding, and empathy to get through them. Why do it alone? Finding a therapist can allow you to share your thoughts and experience. I try to combine validation, and encouragement with a client centered focus and evidenced based practice to help you process your experience.
My Background and Approach
The focus of my practice is grief counseling and bereavement however loss and trauma come in many forms. I am a LCSW with 15 years as a medical social worker in critical care and hospice service alike. I have witnessed resilience of families and patients that has motivated me to work with people struggling with the sudden burden of trauma and anxiety. I try to create an individualized approach to therapy blended with clinical practices to reduce anxiety, foster personal growth, and remember your loved one comfortably. We address issues such as guilt, sadness, dissociation, irritability and emotional fatigue. The goal is to process what you have gone through and apply self compassion as we go through this journey together.
