About My Clients

I offer mental health counseling services for individual adults living in the state of Oregon. I enjoy working with clients who identify as multicultural and/or LGBTQ+. I have experience in trauma work including intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and childhood trauma. I also have an interest in working with self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, stress-management, personal growth, relationship concerns, and food/body issues. At this time, I am only offering telehealth sessions.

My Background and Approach

My therapeutic style often shifts to meet the needs of each client, but I approach counseling primarily from a compassion-focused perspective. A compassion-focused perspective encourages the manifestation of self-love and self-acceptance which combats guilt, shame and hate stemming from trauma. In addition, I incorporate person-centered therapy, emotion-focused therapy, Brainspotting, relational-cultural therapy, strength-based therapy, and positive psychology. All of these approaches are used with my end goal in mind, which is peace. I am a Professional Counseling Associate registered with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I have graduated with my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oregon State University's Cascade Campus. My further credentials include being certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors and completing the Brainspotting Phase 1 training through the Pacific Counseling and Trauma Center.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that each person holds within themselves the ability to heal. We have all experienced pain, grief and hardship, and we all have the capacity for great resiliency. You have gotten to where you are today because you have worked to be here. I believe that when humans are provided with the support and connection they need, they can achieve the growth and peace they are searching for. Counseling isn't about fixing, but growing. As such, I believe that counseling should focus on holistic wellness which incorporates physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, and environmental wellness. Counseling is a path that can lead to growth and healing, and I am here to walk down that path with you as you explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences in a safe and judgement-free environment.
