About My Clients
My clients are teens and adults navigating trauma, ADHD and neurodivergence, addiction and recovery, anxiety, grief, burnout, relationships, or major life changes. I especially enjoy working with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, misunderstood, or ready to rebuild. I welcome clients whose lives don’t fit neatly into boxes and provide LGBTQIA+, ENM/poly, and kink-affirming care. There’s space in my office to take off your mask and just be you!
My Background and Approach
My background in education and mental health has shaped me into a therapist who believes understanding the “why” can be just as important as knowing what to do next. I’m direct, curious, collaborative, and not afraid to challenge you when it’s helpful. We’ll look beyond symptoms to understand the patterns, experiences, beliefs, and nervous system responses underneath them. I’m EMDR-trained and draw from trauma-informed therapy, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, somatic work and nervous system regulation. Sometimes our work will focus on practical tools you can use right now; other times, we’ll dig deeper into experiences that continue to shape how you think, feel, relate, or respond today. My goal isn’t to give you a list of coping skills and send you on your way. It’s to help you understand yourself, build skills that actually fit your style and vibe, and aim to create changes that last outside therapy time.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are capable of changing, growing, and rebuilding at any point in their lives. I also believe you don't have to stay in the life you were told you should want. I'm a big believer in curiosity over judgment, understanding the “why” behind our patterns, and finding ways to live more intentionally and authentically. There is no "normal" and finding that for myself gave me so much peace, I like to help you find the same. Outside the therapy room, I’m a mom, former teacher, artist and potter, whitewater kayaker, and longtime roller derby human. I love learning new things, making things with my hands, being on the water, and finding adventures that push me a little outside my comfort zone. I believe growth can be hard work, but there should always be room for humor, connection, creativity, and joy along the way.
