About My Clients
Over the past decade I have worked in various settings to hone my therapeutic skills working from school settings including colligate institutions to the Metro Atlanta community and surrounding cities. Throughout this work I have become effective with most populations but have leaned into working with these specialized populations I feel are underrepresented within the therapeutic community : The Neurodivergent African American Males Tweens /Teens Therapist who sees Therapist Couples
My Background and Approach
I bring a strength based perspective in which we examine what you do well and apply that to areas you may seem to struggle . We work on building evidence to challenge your thoughts . Working to look at you experiences and how they play a role in your life then gain solutions you can implement in your daily routine. I meet you where you are and am only a guide in this journey that belongs to you. I am trained in trauma and how it affects your life , how your social environment impacts you, and what your needs are and how to implement effective communication within yourself and those around you. Understanding emotions are hard especially if you have had to always lock them away, shoulder the weight of the world , or have no one to help you sort through you mixed feelings . The Neurodivergent AA males from 6 to 60+ Tweens & Teens Dating and relationships Couples And individual therapy
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I did my internship at Morehouse College in the heart of Downtown Atlanta and while there was trained in providing services to African American Males, groups, disability services, and individual therapy. Over the past decade I branched out into working with families, the neurodivergent , and narrowed my specialty from families to couples believing this is the foundation for the family, that when the partnership is healthy, the family has a model for relationships and a more stable foundation.
