About My Clients
I work with adults living with chronic illness, invisible disability, medical trauma, anxiety, and overwhelm. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 13 years as an Occupational Therapist. That experience continues to shape how I think about the relationship between emotional well-being and the realities of daily life when health, energy, pain, or uncertainty don't stay neatly contained by the walls of a medical appointment.
My Background and Approach
I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the specific needs and goals of each client. My holistic perspective takes into account the dynamic interplay of relationships, personal histories, current circumstances, and overall physical and mental health. I believe in the appropriate use of humor to foster a certain comfort level with difficult topics in order to cultivate a positive and growth-oriented environment. My client-centered approach allows me to support you in the way that best fits. I have a particular interest in working with those experiencing chronic health conditions. My personal history with chronic medical conditions along with my previous career in healthcare as an occupational therapist offer me a particular perspective and empathetic lens by which I view the complexities and rewards of the human experience.
