About My Clients
Every person carries their own history, needs, and strengths. If we decide to work together, we’ll approach therapy as a collaborative journey. I prioritize honesty, respect, and a space where you can speak freely. I’ll be here to listen deeply, offer gentle challenges, and support you every step of the way.
My Background and Approach
Hi! I'm Joy, Licensed and Marriage Family Therapist, and a human that has also lived some life! I provide a holding space to encourage, nurture, guide, and empower you to make changes in your life through researched based modalities. I see things from a cultural and feminist lens. I've been practicing for the last 5 years as a family clinician. My main focus is working with clients with PTSD, Anxiety, Substance use disorder, and parenting, codependency, and life transitions. Together, we’ll explore your hopes, needs, and goals. My aim is to create a supportive and comfortable space where you can speak openly and feel safe doing so. As we move forward, we’ll continue to collaborate on steps to help move you in the changes you want.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In a world that often pulls us away from ourselves and each other, its not always easy to find a clear path forward. I'm here to walk alongside you as you navigate the complexities of personal growth, healing, and connection. Whether you're working through relationships, addictions, or simply craving a deeper sense of self, my role is to support you in creating a more grounded, fulfilling life, one step at a time. My approach is built on creating a space where you feel seen heard, and supported. A space where the truths of life are honored, and where coping tools are grounded in real world experiences.
