About My Clients

I’m here to help if you’re feeling worried, anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, disconnected, frustrated, stuck, or down on yourself. If you're parenting or otherwise under increased stress due to Covid-19, perhaps you feel like you've hit your limit and you need more support and tools to manage stress. You are not alone! Difficult emotions are part of life, but when it feels like they’ve hijacked you, or are crowding out everything else, it’s a good time to reach out for help.

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is rooted in my belief that it’s normal to struggle, and we do best when we have compassionate support to help us reflect and process. Many of us were raised hearing and believing messages about ourselves (and others) that created deep wounds. We carry this wounding with us, consciously or not, and it influences our lives and relationships –oftentimes in ways we find troubling. My training allows me to join you in gaining a better understanding of yourself and your needs, and offer tools and guidance to help you achieve your goals. I use a blend of techniques in therapy, each rooted in empathy, non-judgment, and trust that we all possess the capacity to heal. My approach is shaped by my understanding of the body-mind connection, and I incorporate practices based in mindfulness, self-compassion, polyvagal theory, and trauma-informed care. I completed my graduate training in social work in 2015 and also hold a masters degree in public health.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I chose social work because of its emphasis on social justice. I believe that most of the struggles we experience are rooted in various forms of oppression, and actively participating in dismantling these oppressive structures is important to me. I strive for anti-racism and all forms of anti-oppressive practice. I would be honored to be a skillful companion who can support your growth and healing. Please send me an email ([email protected]) or call me (503-470-1484) if you're interested in working with me, and we'll set up a free consultation to get started. I am an out of network provider and my fee is $125/session. I can provide a receipt for insurance reimbursement.
