About My Clients
We all go through things in life and sometimes we get stuck or simply find ourselves struggling. Sometimes our negative thoughts, overthinking, or past trauma can consume us. There are a lot of different reasons why people have mental health issues. I believe taking care of your mental health is just has important as your physical health. I value person centered therapy and motivational interviewing because it focuses heavily on the importance of providing a nonjudgmental environment.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in the mental health field for 10 years. I have helped clients work towards their goals in community mental health, residential mental health, rehabilitation centers, and corrections. I have years of experience working with clients who are experiencing grief, anxiety, PTSD, and/or depression. I also have years of experience working with adult clients who are dealing with symptoms of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and substance use disorders. I value person centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and ACT techniques. My goal is to help YOU develop positive coping skills to help YOU get your life back on track. I take pride in providing a confidential and judgment free environment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe mental health is just as important as your physical health. I have utilized counseling to help me through grief and other issues in my life and it was one of the best decisions I made. I know people are treated unfairly because of their race, sexual preference, economic status, etc. I advocate for my clients and ensure they feel heard, I don't discriminate against anyone I know how it feels to be treated unfairly. I take pride in providing a safe space for my clients.
