About My Clients
I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and families. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship uncertainty, and depression. Life is full of challenges and sometimes our previous coping skills are no longer sufficient and we need additional support. That's part of being human and I believe it is a loving and brave act to reach out for support! I know that you want to live a life full of greater ease, confidence, and joy.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Abilene Christian University with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Prior to joining Houston Professional Counseling, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in settings ranging from shelters to schools. I have extensive teaching experience having been an adjunct professor and teaching mindfulness classes to adolescents and adults. I am a certified facilitator and supervisor through The Center for Mind Body Medicine. I also completed mindfulness training through A Still Quiet Place, which focuses on teaching mindfulness practices to children and adolescents.
