You may have spent decades meeting responsibilities, building relationships, and adapting to others. Much of this has served you well. Yet some familiar patterns may now limit your freedom or vitality. I work with women in midlife and beyond who are questioning old assumptions, navigating transitions, or discovering that they want more from the years ahead.
My Background and Approach
I have been in private practice since 1981, offering depth psychotherapy grounded in respect for each woman's experience, individuality, and capacity for psychological development. My work explores how lifelong adaptations, relationships, and experiences shape your understanding of yourself and what you believe is possible. Some patterns once helped you survive, succeed, or belong. Others may now restrict your choices or diminish your sense of being fully alive. Together, we explore these influences through thoughtful conversation, memories, dreams, and imagery when appropriate. The work is collaborative and attentive to your individual pace. As understanding develops, you may find greater confidence in your judgment, more freedom in relationships, renewed interests, and possibilities you had not previously imagined. I offer individual psychotherapy through secure video sessions in California, Arizona, Florida, and Oregon.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe psychological development remains possible throughout life. Our histories matter, but they need not determine everything that comes next. The adaptations we develop often reflect intelligence, courage, loyalty, and resourcefulness. Understanding their value is as important as recognizing when they have become limiting. My practice is guided by respect, compassion, integrity, and curiosity about the complexity of human experience. I value the imagination, dreams, literature, and the natural world as sources of reflection and discovery. I believe a woman can honor the life she has lived while continuing to discover the life that is possible.
