About My Clients
I use a trauma-informed, person-centered approach to therapy and draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including: CBT, ACT, and EFT. I work with individuals and couples, from preteens discovering who they are, to adults navigating life’s transitions, to oIder adults reflecting on meaning and legacy. Some of the areas I specialize in include: anxiety, maternal health, parenting issues, pre-marital counseling, gender identity, managing ADHD, childhood trauma.
My Background and Approach
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health, hospitals, and private practice. Each environment has shaped my approach to care. Community work taught me the importance of accessibility and advocacy, while my clinical roles deepened my skills in evidence-based treatment and client-centered care. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the importance of meeting clients where they are, honoring their strengths, and tailoring interventions to their unique needs. My practice is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous learning so I can provide the most effective support possible.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I immigrated to the US as a toddler and grew up in family where social justice, empathy, and kindness were shared core values. I've done extensive work in AAPI communities doing racial identity development, in great part to the private practice I worked with over the past 5 years. I am a dog person, but don't discriminate if you have a cat. I have two children who keep me on my toes.
