My clients struggle with a variety of life issues including: loss of intimacy or betrayal by infidelity; grief; unhealthy behaviors around food, compulsive overeating, binge eating or food restricting; chronic health issues; confusion around sexual orientation; and job stress including medical/mental health professionals needing a safe place for help with self care
My Background and Approach
My approach is to assist people connect to their strengths and find effective tools to become resilient and empowered. I have been in practice for over 40 years and am licensed as a clinical social worker in New York, Florida and Maryland. Additionally, I am certified as a telemental health provider exclusively offering online therapy to clients in all 3 states over a secure video platform. This can be a convenient way to have therapy sessions in your own home over video conferencing. I work from a variety of orientations including exploration of how one's past is playing a part in the present day difficulty and what might we do to address that; exploration of one's life experiences, strengths and interpersonal relationships; and importance of adjunctive therapies such as nutritional counseling, yoga, exercise, mindfulness and journaling.

I believe in the dignity of and respect for all beings and that reaching out for help is a sign of tremendous courage. I take seriously that my clients entrust in me the most vulnerable parts of themselves. My goal is to help empower you to be your best self.
