About My Clients
I love working with individuals who desire to show up authentically in all aspects of their lives, those who want to take the mask off. As a result of wearing a mask I often work with individuals who are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. This includes difficulty with work/life balance, stress, and mental and emotional health beginning to manifest itself physically.
My Background and Approach
I pursued my undergraduate education from the Black Women’s institution, Bennett College in North Carolina and obtained a Masters and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Adler University. I have worked with individuals across the lifespan ranging from adolescents to families and seasoned adults in a number of settings including community mental health, psychiatric hospitals, nursing homes, foster and adoptive care agencies, and correctional settings. My clinical experience includes working with trauma, substance use, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, codependency, and more. I strive to provide a safe, collaborative, and integrated approach while being sensitive to diversity and culture. In addition to talk therapy, I provide alternative interventions such as mindfulness and meditation techniques for you to achieve a more holistic quality of life.
