About My Clients
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and other personal challenges. Sometimes life just feels heavy or overwhelming, I am here to help you navigate real life challenges. My goal is to help clients gain insight, develop effective coping skills, and build confidence as they move toward meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
My background includes experience in community mental health and working with the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (NDDOCR), where I supported individuals facing complex life stressors and mental health concerns. These experiences have shaped my belief that everyone deserves a supportive, respectful space to work through difficulties and move toward healthier, more balanced lives. In therapy, I focus on creating a comfortable and collaborative environment where clients feel heard and understood. I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered approaches, and stress and anxiety management strategies. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and am a certified Shame-Informed Specialist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy shouldn't feel intimidating, it should feel like a supportive and comfortable where you can be yourself without judgment. Everyone goes through challenging seasons in life, and having someone to talk with who listens, understands, and helps you sort through things can make a meaningful difference. I value honesty, compassion, and meeting people where they are in their journey. Outside of the therapy office, I enjoy spending time with family, watching my kids sporting events, lake time, and finding simple ways to recharge and stay balanced. I believe caring for our own well-being is important, and I strive to bring that same sense of warmth, understanding, and authenticity into the work I do with clients.
