About My Clients
I have a heart for those who are abuse survivors, those struggling with trauma, and self-harm. I strive to help all of my clients integrate the parts of their journey into a cohesive whole, fostering a sense of authenticity. Our work together will involve opening unprocessed emotions from your past and bringing them into the safety of the present moment. Through spontaneity, connection, and self-reflection, we can change the painful emotions to empowering lessons that fuel your resilience.
My Background and Approach
I believe that seeking therapy is a sign of strength and courage. My goal in our sessions is for you to meet yourself with curiosity and compassion, just as I nurture with you in our time together. I empower my adolescent (15+), young adult, and adult clients to take ownership of their growth process, which is why I mainly use a person-centered approach. But, I integrate a range of therapeutic techniques including CBT, relational and existential therapy, and mindfulness. I love creative expression, so we can tap into that world in our sessions as well! Starting this journey can feeling overwhelming, foreign, and difficult, but through our togetherness, we can learn to undo the aloneness, discovering that fears can be faced, vulnerabilities embraced, and healing is tangible. I'd be honored to take this step with you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a first-generation American from the Philippines, it was challenging to feel safe with my emotions, which stemmed from cultural and social norms. My aim as a therapist is to assure you that wherever your story and experiences have brought you, you deserve to feel safe and heard. Together, we'll explore the root causes of your struggles to gain a new perspective on your present and empower you to live authentically. Life can be chaotic, but I'm here to provide unwavering support and compassion on your journey.
