About My Clients
Are you struggling with anxiety, relationship conflicts, life transitions, stress or adjusting to college life? Or maybe you experienced the loss of someone special and the grief has been too much? Does faith play a big role in your life and you wish to incorporate that into your healing journey? We can work together to unpack these issues that are getting in the way of you feeling like yourself again. You don't have to go through this alone. I can help you learn some new strategies.
My Background and Approach
As a counselor, I believe in developing a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship with my clients. I feel this is particularly important to allow clients to open up and begin to look more deeply into themselves. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where clients can work towards removing obstacles that are in the way of their growth and healing. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairfield University and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware. I am a National Certified Counselor that has extensive clinical experience working with diverse populations. I have worked closely with individuals, groups, couples and families in a variety of settings. These include in private practice, college campuses, a community mental health agency, the criminal justice system, and in the rural villages of Nicaragua. I also provide Christian counseling for those looking to incorporate faith in coping.
