For many of my clients, anxiety significantly interferes with their quality of life. It can feel impossible to relax and can be frightening. I incorporate evidence based modalities to help clients learn different ways to manage their anxiety. This includes the ability to recognize thought patterns and ways to address their thoughts. I also find it helpful to look how our nervous system impacts our mental health and teach ways for my clients to regulate their nervous system to reduce anxiety

From caring for children to caring for parents and/or grandparents, I understand the immense amount of stress and demands that are put upon family caregivers. It can also be incredibly isolating. I provide therapy for family caregivers to help them cope with the challenging day to day and long term decisions and obligations that they face.

I have a background in working with individuals who have Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. I was previously a geriatric Care Manager and the majority of my clients had a diagnosis of dementia and struggled with significant loss of independence and functioning. One type of therapy that I provide to people with dementia is called Reminiscence Therapy. Clients with dementia may require a caregiver to assist with telehealth access.

Being a caregiver can be physically and emotionally exhausting! In addition to the daily caregiving duties, there are often difficult decisions to make and emergency situations to manage. I provide a supportive and safe space to work through some of the difficult thoughts and feelings that arise as a result of your caregiving role. Parenting can be overwhelming and exhausting! Maybe you are used to managing other areas of your life quite well, but feel like you are not the parent you'd hoped you be. Maybe your child is different and you have constant worries about how to support her/him. Maybe your child's behaviors are difficult to manage and you are struggling with this. I provide support and concrete strategies to struggling parents through a neuro-diversity affirming lens.
