About My Clients
I enjoy working with adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, and adjusting to life changes. If you are interested in making a change and doing something different, forward thinking and willing to explore the past, we may be a good match.
My Background and Approach
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of mental health treatment, and I encourage open communication about how our work together is going for you. I ask questions, provide reflective listening, explore with you your strengths that you can use to find your own solutions to the issues you face. I have many different coping skills and strategies I can suggest, I find the use of worksheets helpful and can give "therapy homework" only if you are up for it! You can expect to feel listened to, heard, and validated at the end of our sessions. Perhaps even feel a bit more hopeful, motivated, or able to be successful. That is my hope for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I love the outdoors and I strongly believe being outdoors can greatly improve mental health. I also believe having a pet can be helpful to mental health as well. While I love all animals, I am a "cat person" and have two cats, Cosmo and Chloe. Cosmo likes to join session from time to time. I am open minded and I like to use humor in my work with others. I also happen to be a trained Yoga Instructor.
