About My Clients
You might be buried under the stress of unconsciously trying to compete with your peer's posts on social media. Why isn't my life that perfect? Why do I feel worthless? You may be worried about how your teen is processing new and challenging family dynamics. Are they truly adjusting ok? Do they have an outlet? You might feel like memories from your past are forever going to hold you captive, and not believe like there realistically is another option for how your life will continue to unfold.
My Background and Approach
There is an opportunity to rewrite your past. There is a safe and healing space for your teen to have an outlet. It is possible to feel valued, while accepting things that are out of your control. I can provide that space for you to make these discoveries. I have been trained in marriage/family work through Western Michigan University. I am also clinically trained in brainspotting and use that in various situations. I also incorporate physical movement when necessary, and have completed a trauma sensitive yoga training for this purpose. I approach the counseling relationship viewing it as if we are a team, and I'm your biggest cheerleader in this journey. I pace with you and meet you where you're at in each session while offering insights where I see fit. It takes courage to make this move, but once you do, whether you meet with me or not, I hope that you are able to experience relief and a much fuller life.
